What is NAPO Pittsburgh?
NAPO Pittsburgh is a chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). NAPO is a non-profit professional
association whose members include organizing consultants, speakers,
trainers, authors, and manufacturers of organizing products. Founded
in 1985, it is the largest national association of and for organizers
with over 3,350 members throughout the world. NAPO's mission is
to develop, lead, and promote professional organizers and the
organizing industry.
NAPO Pittsburgh gathered initially as the "Pittsburgh
Professional Organizers," starting in June of 2000. In April
2005, our group was awarded chapter status within NAPO (National
Association of Professional Organizers). From 2000 until now, the
professional organizing industry has grown 1000% in the Pittsburgh
region.
What is a Professional Organizer?
A professional organizer is a consultant, speaker, or trainer who works with clients
who would like assistance organizing space, time, data, or
procedures. Professional organizers are able to teach organizing
principles and skills to their clients. Organizers do this through a
variety of services including consultations, hands-on organizing
assistance, coaching, seminars, and products.
